It’s always great when a leading wine writer recommends a Cantele wine.
But it was especially thrilling to discover that Paul Lukacs, one of our favorite writers on wine and wine history, recommended the Cantele Salice Salentino in his recent round-up for Wine Review Online.
Paul, who teaches English at Loyola University Maryland, is the author of numerous books and essays on wine and wine history.
Most recently, he published Inventing Wine (Norton 2012), a tome that examines the history of wine stretching back more than 8,000 years.
The wine was well received by wine writers and non-fiction critics alike and its impact on how we understand wine today is difficult to overestimate.
The mention of Cantele in his post may be small. But the writer is a giant. And we’re thrilled to learn that he’s tasted and enjoyed one of our wines.
