Every week, I receive two to three emails from wine lovers asking me where can I find Cantele wines [in my market]?
A few years ago, searches like this were challenging. In the “olden” days, you had to contact the importer, who in turn would put you in touch with the regional distributor, who in turn would put you in touch with the salesperson for a given territory, who in turn would put you in touch with a retailer.
It often took weeks before you could locate and source the wine.
Today, we have a wonderful resource for finding wines in the U.S. (in nearly every country, actually): WineSearcher.com.
Just this morning, a gentleman from the Washington, D.C. area wrote me asking about the availability of the 2010 Cantele Salice Salentino Riserva in his market.
The screenshot above shows all the retailers who currently carry Cantele wines in his area (at least those who submit their inventory to WineSeacher).
So if you are having trouble finding the wine in your area, please send me an email by clicking here: I’ll be more than happy to help you find it (I’m a WineSearcher subscriber).
And if it’s not available in your market, it’s relatively easy to find a retailer willing to ship any quantity to you. It’s one of the great things about fine wine in the twenty-first century.
